Aux Battles - Free Multiplayer Music Battle Game

Twitch battles let your chat submit & vote - connect your channel to start

How to Play

01

Create or join a room

One player creates a room and shares the 4-letter code. Everyone else joins with the code and a display name, no account needed.

02

Get a topic

A random music topic is picked for the round, like "best song to play at a house party" or "song that hits different at 3am".

03

Submit your song

Everyone pastes a Spotify, YouTube or SoundCloud link for the track they think fits the topic best, depending on the sources the room allows.

04

Listen and vote

The room plays every submission back blind and each player rates it 1–5 stars on how well it answers the topic.

05

See who wins

The highest average rating takes the round, submitters are revealed, and the leaderboard carries the score into the next one.

✓ No Spotify Premium or app needed. Spotify, YouTube and SoundCloud all play right in the browser: log into Spotify for the full track, or skip it and get a 30 second preview.

What's New

v2.17August 3, 2026

🎧 Spotify now plays right in your browser. No Spotify Premium, no app to install. Everyone gets at least a 30 second preview, and listeners logged into Spotify hear the full track.

🏆 Bracket Tournaments for Twitch: run a 1v1 elimination bracket instead of prompt rounds. You call the winner of each matchup while chat's vote split shows live on screen.

👥 Friends Mode for Twitch: bring your real friends into the room to submit songs while chat judges the winner. Twitch login is required for every friend, and you approve who gets in.

🖼️ Twitch avatars now show next to submissions and on the leaderboard, so chat's real profile pictures show up in the room instead of just usernames.

📊 Added a By the Numbers section to the homepage, with live stats pulled from real games played on the site.

Why I Built This

Me and my friends have been playing aux battles for years. Someone would pick a theme, everyone thinks of prompts, we write them on a notepad, then pick from them randomly, and then the battles start. We did it manually for a long time, but there was a problem. We argued over ratings, and nobody could ever agree on who actually won.

When I looked for an app where we could play. Every one I found wanted an account, a login, or a paywall. For a game you want to start in 10 seconds at a party. Diabolical.

So I just built it myself. No accounts. Nothing to download. Paste a 4-letter code in the group chat and everyone's in. The chaos is still there, the setup isn't.

Fun fact

The whole thing was built in about a week. Sleep was optional :).

Fun fact

Spotify embeds play at 100% volume by default and there's no way to change it. SoundCloud's widget does let you set volume, but it's linear, so anything above 15% is already blaring.
